HOW DO YOU SIZE UP?

The latest issue of OK! claims to reveal something that a lot of people wonder about — celebrities’ dress sizes.
But the mag only lists six stars:
Eva Longoria - Size 0
Jennifer Aniston - Size 2
Eva Mendes - Size 4
Katherine Heigl - Size 6
Mariska Hargitay - Size 8
America Ferrera - Size 10
Surprised by anything?

Wasn’t Eva Mendes just hired by Calvin Klein to be his “curvy” model? Is a size 4 curvy? Yipes if it is. P.s. America looks gorgeous.

i’m surprised at jennifer aniston being a 2. i’m a size 2 and feel she could blow me over. LOL.
i would’ve pegged her as a 4. the others seem about right.

I don’t think your size say that much. It says how large/small your chest is (if you are normally porportioned) or your waist and hips if we’re talking pants. And the circumference of your chest (and the rest of your body) is very much related to how tall you are. I think I’m a size 8 (european 38) but I’m 15 cm taller than Jennifer Aniston and I think I look more skinny than her. My BMI is 19, which is normal.

I was clothes shopping awhile back and tall slender woman came in and said in booming voice, loud enough for everyone to hear her, “What do you have in a size 0 or 2? I’m a size 0 or 2!! Tee hee.” The rest of us smirked, cause she did look like a 0 or 2 - no ass, no hips, no boobs. She was soooo flat, it looked painful. Me, I’d rather have boobs.

Hmmm, I wonder why they didn’t publish the measurements of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, or Matt Damon… Oh wait, that’s because it’s creepy to objectify men, but normal to do it to women.
Whether you’re calling a woman too fat/too skinny or just perfect, you are objectifying her. The obsession with “body = worth” is what drives eating disorders, domestic violence and some really, really bad fashion.
I know this is a celeb site and it’s not supposed to be deep, but if we can gawk at male stars without tearing into their physical proportions, why can’t we do that for female stars?

edina is right — size doesn’t tell you much. you need to know the height. i am a size 6, but katherine heigl is way skinner than me, but i am 5′7 and she looks model height. i have a friend who is a 2, but is under 5′, so she looks normal.

I think at her thinnest Jen Aniston was a 2 for years, but lately she has filled out some. I would say she’s a 4.

Yeah I’m surprised about Jennifer being a 2 actually. I’m a 1-2 depending, but I have big boobs…I thought she would be a bit bigger I guess. Now I think about it though, its probably just the different body type rather than size.

Yes America is beautiful but she’s definitely lost a lot of weight. Watch either the first Sisterhood of the traveling pants movie or Real Women Have Curves and you’ll see a huge weight difference.

OK I am sorry to blow you off like this leela fashionista, but Jennifer Aniston would be skinnier than you. That’s just a not-so-flattering picture of Jennifer Aniston…plus wearing boots like that would put all the attention to her thighs, and even if her thighs are bigger than yours, doesn’t mean shes fatter than you, then again, I can’t just compare with your pictures looking like that, it’s like, we’ll never get Jennifer Aniston, who’s so very classy, to pose like you =)
