The newly slimmed down diva will soon be one of this year’s celebrity mentors to the current crop of American Idol wannabes. Mimi will join Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond and Andrew Lloyd Webber as celebrities brought on to help shepherd the remaining singers through an episode, which usually features heaping gobs of their music. Miss Carey will also be able to plug her new album, E=MC², which is due in stores next month.

Out of all the celebrities, Mariah, not Mimi because that’s just stupid, needs to get over herself. She REEKS of self absorbness…PEEE YOU!!!! Her out-of-control vanity is right up there with Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. Any one of these people would be an absolute nightmare to life with guaranteed. And by the way, why is Mariah NEVER in a relationship? Too egotistical? Just weird. I’ve heard she’s gay, but I’m more convinced she’s got emotional problems. It must be tough for her not finding someone who can worship her AND her can respect her at the same time! The guy would have to be superhuman. I really liked her first album and thought she awesome, but after that she slowly became a diva and started dressing and acting like a tramp, and I lost respect for her. I imagine her to sit around on a Friday night and gaze at herself in a mirror all night, and I bet I’m right. She’s whacked!
I agree with you to an extent Leela. I think she is very vain and she does have emotional problems but I think a lot of her vanity is a cover for her vulberability. She’s very childlike (you only have to watch her Cribs episode to see that) and seems very naive for someone of her age. I think she’s got a lot of problems still stemming from her first marriage with Tommy Mottola who was an abusive husband. A lot of women never really get over that.
On another note I think Dolly, Mariah, Neil and Andrew are fantastic mentors for the contestants!
Leela, dude you need to freakin’ chill. Mariah is actually a pretty cool person if you ever get to meet her. Very down to earth, which is something I didn’t expect considering how famous she is. BTW she IS in a relationship. Has been dating Mark Sudack since 2002. Just b/c she doesn’t like to blast her personal bidness like other tramp celebs doesn’t mean she’s been perpetually single.

She HAS been in a relationship with Mark, but I believe since 2004. (who really knows? lol) and im so happy that she doesnt BLAST her shit out in the open because they’ve lasted longer than most of these people who get married in hollywood.
