Decked out in a strapless navy blue sequined gown, struggling yet unstoppable actress Jessica Simpson was in Cannes today to announce her next film, ‘Major Movie Star.’
The romantic comedy is about a down-on-her-luck actress who enlists in the Marines. Jessica, who has already had starring roles in ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ and ‘Employee of the Month’, had been scheduled to being filming a spy comedy, ‘The Witness’, in June, but now she’ll start shooting ‘Major’ in Louisiana that month instead.
With her newfound single status, we’re sure Jessica will have plenty of time to hone in on her craft and churn out those gut-wrenching laughs.
Ok, I couldn’t even type that with a straight face.

I don’t think she looks too bad here but she seems to be taking too many bad style tips from Beyonce with the fake looking hair and Vegas girl dresses. Tone it down a bit Jess!! It’s interesting that the picture used for the movie poster behind her was taking years ago, you’d think they’d take a new photo for the movie poster!
