Ryan Seacrest is one of Detail’s new 2008 Mavericks — 22 “big thinkers shaping your life,” says the mag. The list includes Diablo Cody, DJ Mark Ronson, Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler, Guitar Hero developer Kai Huang and more.
It wasn’t that long ago that Howard Stern was the King of All Media, but Details says Seacrest gets the title now. News, endorsement deals with Crest and Scope, partnerships in eight restaurants, and there’s Idol.
He’s so busy that he didn’t think he has time to date. But then, “I completely fell into a relationship, and I didn’t want to,†he says about a recent (unnamed) girlfriend. “I remember having conversations like ‘This is so weird for me, because I’m not supposed to be with anyone until I’ve achieved what I want to achieve.’â€

Photo editing someone to look that different really doesn’t work with someone who remains on camera everyday.

I don’t think he’s all that bad. I think he gets a lot of flack for nothing really. He’s pretty good at his job and he seems like a nice enough guy even though he does act like a dickhead sometimes. I think he’s aware that he’s like that, but while he’s still getting booked for red carpet and hosting jobs I don’t think he’s going to be changing any time soon. I think he looks pretty good in these shots as well.
