LIKE DAUGHTER, LIKE MOTHER

Lynne Spears takes over for daughter Britney while she’s busy filming a guest spot on How I Met Your Mother!

The mother of the pop princess drove one of her little girl’s Mercedez Benz cars to the local gas station today for a full service!

Proving that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Lynne spoke on her cell phone the entire time. This can actually prove to be very dangerous.

I guess we now know where her daughter’s bad habits first began!!

Yeah apparently it is pretty dangerous to be on your cell at a gas station…..but how many people do you see doing it? And I’m sure all of us have been guilty at least once. I think Lynne’s probably just helping her daughter out by getting the car checked out. I don’t see how this is really news.

Cell phone ignited gas station fires are an urban legend:

    http://www.snopes.com/autos/hazards/gasvapor.asp

Snopes actually mentions the fire in your newslink:

PEI has been in contact with the fire marshal in New Paltz, NY to learn more about this incident. It turns out the initial reports were not accurate. Patrick Koch, the fire chief of New Paltz, NY offered PEI this statement: “After further investigation of the accident scene and another discussion with the victim of the May 13 gasoline station fire in New Paltz, I have concluded the source of ignition was from some source other than the cell phone the motorist was carrying. Although we will probably never know for sure, the source of ignition was most likely static discharge from the motorist himself to the nozzle dispensing gasoline.”

the whole cellphone danger thing is when you’re physically outside the car and at the pump! you can sit in your car and talk on the phone…she’s getting full service by the way.
