Attendants at this year’s ShoWest convention got a surprise neak peek at Michael Myers’ first live action comedy in over five years as they were showed four clips from The Love Guru, coming out this summer.
When Myers took the microphone to talk about the movie, he introduced costar Jessica Alba as “the mother of his child,” as she came out, looking very pregnant, to chide him for lying like that. After riffing a bit about how entertainment journalists would print whatever they say without fact-checking, they prompty pimped the movie a bit more and then stepped aside to let the footage speak for itself.
Crowd response was positive….that is, of course, until Justin Timberlake’s character, Jacques Grande, hit the screen. Fans were bored by his weak attempt at a Quebec accent and his lack of chemistry with costar Meagan Good. (We didn’t know one could lack chemistry around the likes of the stunning Miss Good.)
