IS HEATH HEADED FOR OSCAR GOLD?

Movie buzz alert: Heath Ledger is sooooo good in Dark Knight he could win a posthumous Oscar!!!

“It’s stunning, it’s iconic,” director Christopher Nolan tells the New York Times about Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker in “The Dark Knight, ” which is due in theaters on July 18. “It’s going to just blow people away.”

As it stands now, only one acting Oscar has ever been bestowed posthumously: Peter Finch for his role in 1976’s Network.

Hollywood types are notoriously hard-hearted, but can’t we all agree that Heath is owed a golden statue for his portrayal of Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain?

Michael Caine said in an interview that Heath Ledger was sooo good in the role that it made him forget his lines. I really am interested in seeing how good exactly that would be. I think it’ll be a little bit creepy watching it though.

I definitely think he deserved an Oscar for Brokeback.

I saw a clip of his role, and it looks like he did an amazing job.

I hope he wins if he deserves it.. which he probably does. I just don’t think it should be awarded JUST BECAUSE he died.

Oh please spare us your meaningless awards, besides the gay agenda was so last year now it’s social globalism and worshipping at the altar of the CORRUPT UNITED NATIONS.

the oscars are notorious for giving oscars for performances of equal or lesser value AFTER the fact. its almost inevitable since heaths death including his alleged fabulous performance that he will be awareded with at least a nom nod.

Its for Brokeback not for Batman, Political concern was more important last year… than excelent acting

OMG I just cannot wait for this movie!! I was excited about it like a year ago when they first starting releasing all the teasers but now i’m even more excited. I hope that Heath’s performance just blows everyone away and that people really recognise what a great talent we lost. Him winning an Oscar would just seem so right, but I’d hope that he would win it because he deserves it and not because he died. It would be an awesome moment.

I’ve only just seen the previews for The Dark Knight, and quite frankly Heath Ledger’s anarchic take on the Joker scares the **** out of me. I’ve seen Brokeback but frankly I didn’t see what the fuss about it was. Then again, thats probably why I’m not in the business. I sure would never have thought yeh this guy would be great as the Joker in Batman. Oscar or not, looks to me like the director got the best actors for the job again. Anyway, can’t wait to see this next gritty installment of Batman.
