Add a guest appearance on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother to the endless list of Britney Spears career follies.
Our sources tell us that Brit’s agent Jason Trawick from William Morris made the deal with producers on the show. One source called it “a small legitimate project that will keep her busy doing something.” We’re told it’s not long term and her dad — her conservator — is down with it and has signed off.
Brit most recently appeared on an episode of NBC’s Will & Grace in 2006. It was canceled later that year. How I Met Your Mother is facing the same possible fate should ratings not increase. Let’s watch Brit do her magic once again!

brit was not the reason will & grace was cancelled as you have implied. why kick her now when she’s finally doing something good in her life? you’re pathetic. if you don’t like her - stop the stories! otherwise, quit pounding her to the ground and accept that she’s you bread & butter.
everyone needs to work — it will give her a daily goal that works towards her being able to sustain herself. It’s a good step - not too big - but big enough that it requires her to be responsible and answer to other people who are professional.
Love that show. How I met your mother is one of the funniest shows on TV.
When she was on “Will & Grace” was that supposed to be acting? Cause you would never know it. Shitney couldn’t act her way out of a gas station quickie mart!
“A small legitimate project that will keep her busy doing something.†What a nice little oxymoron.
I thought she was quite funny on Will and Grace actually and that episode had really high ratings and was definately not the reason the show was cancelled. That’s just really immature to say that. People are drawing at any straws they can in an attempt to put Brit down and its pretty pathetic. I hope that she manages to follow through with this project properly and that its a positive for her. I don’t think she should become an actress though, there is enough drama in her life already.
She was funny on W&G - and I love how I Met Your Mother, can’t wait to see it!
