ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER SAD SONG

American Idol shoo-in David Archuleta performed Phil Collins’ Another Day in Paradise tonight, but we weren’t quite feeling it this time.

He sang while playing the piano and the whole thing felt a little staged. Judge Paula Abdul offered some insight (shocking, we know) when she said this week proved he’s human and not always perfect.

Whatever the case be, we’re starting to question how long he can milk the self-depricating awww-shucks schtick before fans grow weary.

He’s got a great voice, but what’s up with the whole modern R&B-ish singing style thing every boy does?

^I agree Sarah. It’s all a little sickening.

i dunno - the whole aw shucks thing is fine (even if a bit repetitive), but an artist should be more than a one trick pony.

i like him. and s…its not unfair. that one girl that looks like carly simon already had a recording contract and the company put 2million into her debut and dropped her when she wasnt selling. plus that guy that wears a wig was a professional recording artist too. thats not fair. star search? lol. i think that is ok.
