In the flick, which was shot in Toronto, JT plays a rival skater named Jacques Grande.
I guess that explains the speedo — he’s French Canadian!

Hey, you’re right! us french canadian always wear speedo.Especially during winter time with all the snow we’ve got here. Speedo is our national costume! What the fuck was that comment about? we don’t wear speedos, we eat it for breakfast or smoke it to get buzzed!
It’s nice he’s willing to look silly for a role. Maybe there is hope yet, for an acting career.
You people need to take the stick out of your asses. And for those people saying he should stick to singing, go to YouTube and see some of his clips from when he was on Saturday Night Live (including “Dick in a Box”). He’s actually very funny. He should do comedy if he’s going to do any films at all.

All the pictures I’ve seen so far for this movie just look dumb…but not in a funny way. Alba, Myers and Timberlake..I think I’ll pass when this hits theatres.
Lilyness, you couldn’t be more wrong darling. I’ve worked in television on sitcoms and dramas and on films. When you have to say a line (especially a straight line) very funny FOR EVERY FUCKING TAKE WE DO (and each scene is usually done in multiple takes - sometimes over a dozen!) YEAH, that’s called acting. They don’t just roll out on the set and say something funny. The lines are written for them and they have to deliver them in character and humorously. That’s called acting. Not every person in America who is funny can do it. You have to know how to deliver it ON CAMERA and ON CUE. Again, that’s called acting. You must be 12 years old.
I agree, that Justin has good comedic talent, but if the script sucks and Alba is in it- it’s doomed.

The pictures are funny, but the role and apparently the movie are LAME lame laaaame as hell. Yes, I had to say that three times– you would too if you saw the trailer (or hell, read a description of the movie).
