I’m also of the “so what” party. We’re just human, after all. One of Bollywood’s most popular actors - Hrithik Roshan - has an extra thumb… and he’s HOT. I think the people who *truly* think this sort of thing is nasty are the ones who are alienated from the sense of their own status as human animals (or are ignorant about biology and anatomy). Sorry, but it’s at least partially true.

The same rumor went around about Halle Berry…I don’t believe it for a second. And I LOVE wearing flip flops. It’s no fun to be tottering around in heels at the grocery store, etc.
What is wrong with flip flops? Don’t ever come to Arizona, especially in the summer, 98% of people have them on. It is 105 and everyone is wearing shorts, tanks, and flip flops. What else do you wear? Heels with shorts?

It is quite normal & common in most parts of Europe and Australia to wear flip-flops everywhere–not just to the beach.
I agree vera and my2cents, I live in Texas and flip-flops are standard footwear for pretty much every occasion- IT’S HOT HERE. I don’t really get why this is a story at all.

i love flip-flops (although here in australia we call them thongs). they’re so laidback and casual. it shows you don’t take yourself too seriously.
Flip flops….hahaha. I wear my thongs all the time. One time I saw a man at the park where I was walking my dog and he was wearing thongs and shorts (and it was raining). Now, that’s Oshtrayan!
I don’t like it when people wear them all the time. Say, Wil Anderson. But if I’m just taking my dog for a walk around the park- thongs. If I’m going down to the deli to grab some milk- thongs all the way.
