CELEBRITY QUOTE OF THE DAY

barack-quote.jpg

“Actually, yeah. But they’re very sensible. They’re pretty down on Britney and Paris and all of that. They think that’s very “yuck.” They’re way more into Hannah Montana and Beyonce. They got to go backstage and meet Beyonce and they just love her to death.”

– Presidential candidate Barack Obama dishes on whether his daughters Sasha and Malia ever ask about Britney Spears

The man is, clearly, raising two very smart girls! :-)

LOL @ SheRidesAHarley - Yeah, and the visual of your double-wide ass hanging off the back of a Harley, with both your mullet and love handles/meat flaps flowing in the wind, makes me, well, LAUGH!! And though it’s a rather amusing visual, it’s definitely falls under the “yuck” category! And don’t fat, sweaty, hairy-pit having Harley riders tend to wear “rags” on their heads, under the pretense of it being a headband. No, Petunia, your dirty sweatsock nor your father’s snot rag constitutes a headband; they’re both just homemade redneck head RAGS; nothing more, nothing less! Now go read a book but start at a skill level you can master; like 1st grade! Fucking moron!!!

Just because you don’t think Obama is the person to be President does not mean you are a racist. That is old bullshit that black America just keeps throwing in our faces. I know more black people who are racist than whites.

Despite his denials, rumors and e-mails circulating on the Internet continue to allege that Obama (D-Ill.) is a Muslim, a “Muslim plant” in a conspiracy against America, and that, if elected president, he would take the oath of office using a Koran, rather than a Bible, as did Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the only Muslim in Congress, when he was sworn in earlier this year.
In campaign appearances, Obama regularly mentions his time living and attending school in Indonesia, and the fact that his paternal grandfather, a Kenyan farmer, was a Muslim. Obama invokes these facts as part of his case that he is prepared to handle foreign policy, despite having been in the Senate for only three years, and that he would literally bring a new face to parts of the world where the United States is not popular.
While considerable attention during the campaign has focused on the anti-Mormon feelings aroused by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (R), polls have also shown rising hostility toward Muslims in politics. It is not clear whether that negative sentiment will affect someone who has lived in a Muslim country but does not practice Islam.
In an August poll by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 45 percent of respondents said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate for any office who is Muslim, compared with 25 percent who said that about a Mormon candidate and with 16 percent who said the same for someone who is an evangelical Christian.

BARACK ROCKS: You are the reason we may very well have someone in office who doesn’t belong there. I bet you’re black.. so that means you HAVE to vote for Obama and whoever doesn’t is racist, right? REVERSE RACISM ASSHOLE!!!! I am by no means whatsoever racist as it would denote a bit of self loathing if I were, so when I say this next thing, believe it comes from my innate ability to scrutinize information being bombarded in my direction and extrapolate said information into a reasonable concise deduction. I am afraid many YOUNG PEOPLE AND BLACKS are voting for Obama because of his “cool” or “urban” appeal (though there are some who have educated themselves on the issues and he is still their choice and I respect that). I do not respect those and think it’s dangerous for people to vote based on popularity and being cool like the cool celebrities that endorse these candidates rather than learning the facts and making an informed decision.

that’s true harley we all ready have a muslim in congress, Minnesota tax payers are also footing the bill for foot baths at universities and airports to accomodate the religion of peace; not to mention we’re also footing the bill for the children and multiple wives that are on the dole. 21. The Chosen One
    February-27-2008 @ 12:36 pm

It looks like Obama is the nominee. That being said, he will be running against McCain. Now, these two candidates have 2 completely different stances on a myrid of issues. The most important being, in my opinion, is that McCain is willing to stay at a war for 100 years if need be. Obama says war will be over and a troop withdrawl will happen quickly.

We have already spent $800 billion dollars on a war so far and have already received the okay for another $200 billion for 2008. That is a TRILLION dollars!!! Do you know what a TRILLION dollars could for our country??? Healthcare would be resolved, social securiy will be resolved, education, maufacturing, etc…

Mr. Obama is definatley someone who is NOT from the institution (old, rich, white, republican) that has put us in a place where we are no longer relevent FINANCIALLY (today the US dollar reached its lowest point vs. EURO IN HISTORY), CULTURALLY (we are pretty much despised around the world currently), ECONOMICALLY (we no longer produce barely anything of value in this country and have an alltime high trade deficit).

I can go on and on, but I won’t. So PLEASE take the time to due your due dillegence before making any kind of comment.

I support our troops, I support America.
But I dont support this war.
This is coming from a parent that has a SON in IRAQ , well he gets shipped out the 3rd of March.

I personally want someone in the White House that has been to war, and knows the TRUE affects it does to the family.
Though I dont want someone in there that wants to stay for a hundred years either.

I dont think that a woman needs the White House, NO WOMAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE, they shouldnt be president. Period.

I dont want a Muslim either.

I am so torn on this presidential race this year……………….May the LESS of TWO evils win.

I cant understand why anyone would want another Clinton in office.
When NAFTA was signed by Clinton, that is when US went down hill fast. Lost TONS of jobs here in America.
If I am wrong, please post where I am wrong at.
Being in the shipping industry, I see plants closing down on a weekly basis, DUE to NAFTA. They are moving to cheap places, like Mexico, for the most part.
Though, look at GM, I believe that the Union / workers done more bad than good in that area. The GM plant here in Oklahoma City, have a neighbor put in over 26 years, he was always complaining that 49 dollars an hour just wasnt enough.
    (sickens me!)

Thanks hillary - -for your post :)

  31. She Rides A Harley
    February-27-2008 @ 1:37 pm

“Only Barack Obama consistently opposed NAFTA,” it declares. “A little more than a year ago, Hillary Clinton thought NAFTA was a ‘boon’ to the economy,” it continues (citing a 9/11/06 item in Newsday). And, “Hillary Clinton was not with Ohio when our jobs were on the line. Why should we be with her now?”
The piece targets not just Clinton’s record on trade but her credibility. It says that she is “changing her tune” now that she’s campaigning in places like Ohio, but when Obama says he will fix broken trade deals “we can believe him.”
    ==================Yeah Right=======================

This could backfire on him, if he is called out on supporting the Peru trade agreement. Do you know if he voted for CAFTA?
It reminds me a bit of his “Clinton wants to go after your paycheck” allegation about her health plan, which struck me as misleading.
Politicians do this all the time, making a statement in absolute terms when the reality is much more complicated, but you’re right that Obama’s claim to be a “post-partisan” candidate tends to set him up to be held to a higher standard.
Did you know that they have the exact same voting record on trade while they’ve been in the Senate?, yeppers.

(I will stop, I think that I might have gone over some peoples heads, though HONESTLY think before you vote. But yet VOTE!)

as a canadian born of an african mother and a white canadian father living in multicultural vancouver i find it hillarious that americans are soooo worried that immigrants in america who hold onto their cultures are dragging down the usa. what is dragging down your country is the small minded cultureless and clueless population of people who know nothing about the rest of the world. having culture is what makes this world such a beautiful place, as someone who knows very little about my own african culture i feel almost cheated that i never got to learn the language, song and dance and way of life that my mother grew up experiancing.

Remember Hillary waving the Obama mailers and saying “Shame on you, Obama!”
Now picture her in the oval office, waving newspapers, magazines, brochures, transcripts, etc, and scolding “Shame on you, Castro! Kim! Whatever Medvedev! Nawaz Sharif!”
    Ooh, scary.
