Janet Jackson wages on with her seemingly endless promotional tour on Tuesday by hitting up the New York City set of MTV’s Total Request Live to offer fans a performance of her new single, Feedback.
And while the stage is perfectly set for Miss Janet to make a comeback (the top of the charts are currently filled with old releases), new reviews of Discipline will only nullify the minute interest in the few remaining album-buying Janet fans.
From the Washington Post:
Her fluttery delivery on the pornographic litany of the title track is meant to sound like she’s trembling on the verge of ecstasy. Instead it feels more like someone, well, faking it.
From News Day:
“Discipline” is about the concerns of 14-year-old boys expressed with the same amount of finesse that they would use.
From the Boston Globe:
Jackson’s decision to recycle the nympho routine one more time is just boring.
From the Canadian Press:
By disc’s end, her message becomes painfully obvious: Jackson’s a hot 40-something with a sensitive side. Yet sadly we’ve heard it all before.
Thanks for comin’ out Janet. Better luck next time!

fug!
i hate when people have curly hair but straight bangs. Is not natural whatsoever.
I don’t like her hair at all.
Like her brother–she’s history now….time to pack it in.
Ha,ha,ha! This is a funny post from top to bottom! I have to agree with the critics too. Haven’t heard the album but I know I have no interest in hearing a slutty Janet writhing on her mic. Ick. Been there, done that - later!
I just LOVE that this is the same woman who said she would never use sex to sell albums because, “I’m not as vulgar as Madonna” .
.
A couple years later she was giving lap dances on stage and singing about mastrubation. HYPOCRITE!!!
Fug face wig and time to stop hurting our ears.
Her and Madonna need to stop already. Go away with some dignity.
