Bare shoulders were plentiful on one-shoulder Grecian gowns and sleeveless structured bust-lines at Sunday night’s 80th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
Katherine Heigl, who wore red, the colour of the night (especially on her cheeks), paired her Escada gown with a Marilyn Monroe-inspired blond bob.
The Grey’s Anatomy beauty’s one-shoulder, cinched-waist gown had a keyhole detail that added a nice couture touch.

Overall I love it. I do think she needed to tone down the blush, but overall I loved it. Definitely a hit.
The dress is perfect… the dress is okay…. the makeup - HORRIBLE!!! Her makeup artist was obviously out to get back at her for something she did! She’d better apologise - quickly!!

This is a GREAT look for her. Very well done from head to toe, that is– with the exception of the makeup (too much blush/bronze).
She looks amazing here, she looks like she lost a little bit of weight, she is very close in comparison to Marylin Monroe here.

The dress is sooo pretty!! I love the shoulder detail and the way it falls is just divine. I’m so bored of her hair like this and the red lipstick…its how she always looks on the red carpet lately. Change it up a little! A bit too much red for my liking.
She got there just for defending a gay co-worker.

I think she looked stunning…the most beautiful of the night BY FAR!! Her skin is creamy, the makeup is a bit heavy to compliment the dress and the contrast with her skin. Her hair is beautiful. She was just flawless….until she speaks and then she sometimes ruins everything by saying something totally dumb.
