He may be a no good cheatin’ excuse of a boyfriend but that doesn’t mean Justin Timberlake isn’t bankable.
After weeks of speculation, it was just confirmed that JT will be the face of an a new men’s fragrance for Givenchy. The campaign will be unveiled to press in June ahead of a worldwide roll-out in autumn 2009.
Says Alain Lorenzo, Parfums Givenchy’s president: “Beyond his immense international notoriety, we chose Justin Timberlake because he’s a true trendsetter who has redefined modern elegance.” Umm….yeah….
Mr. Sexy back joins Liv Tyler in the Givenchy ranks as the label’s male spokesperson.
Justin is fast becoming a style icon with his own menswear clothing line William Rast which he launched in 2005. He recently announced he would be adding a womenswear range to the label which is expected to be introduced for autumn/winter ‘08-’09.
Could 2008 be the year that JT brings stinky back? (Let’s hope not!)

“trensetter” “style icon” HUH?
In what world? He can’t dress to save himself & his clothing line is overly commercial grossness! If America think this douche is a style icon then god save us all … I seriously hope this campaign is only for U.S audiences because the rest of the world will laugh their asses off that a company like Givenchy is allowing Justin to front their campaign.

I think he will be perfect for this campaign. He’s a very metrosexual kind of guy, who dresses well, is talented and has a lot of charm…how is that not perfect for this? Will be interested to see the way the scent is marketed. Hopefully its not too cheesy and is kind of classy like Matthew McConaghey’s.
