NYC Dept of Health has issued an alert regarding a Hepatitis A case found at Socialista night club in New York City.
Health officials warned patrons who visited the trendy West Village bar on February 8 that they could be infected with the acute infectious disease.
What’s the big deal, you ask? Well, that’s the very night that Ashton Kutcher held his star-studded 30th birthday party at Socialista.
Attendees at Kelso’s fête included his wife Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Salma Hayek, Ali Larter, Amy Smart and Madonna.
All patrons, including Ashton’s A-list pals, have been asked to get a vaccination as a precautionary measure.
Hep A is most commonly transmitted by the faecal-oral contact.

Woahh he’s only 30! I thought he was older than that…He has matured very quickly since being with Demi. The past years he should have been off having fun with his mates. But I guess, she’s his soulmate so good for them. This is pretty awful though about a Hepatitus outbreak. I know its kind of funny to think about all these celebs getting sick but its really bad. Hep A is serious and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. Oh well ok…maybe Beyonce haha

Hasn’t it occurred to anyone that a club employee could have been the source? Of course, that’s not as much fun as jumping to conclusions about people who are such wonderful fun to hate (not to mention displaying truly staggering levels of ignorance about infectious disease in general and Hep A in particular) .
Anyone eating anywhere there is food being prepared and served by others can be exposed to Hep A. You just have to hope that the people handling the food practice good hygiene - that means washing their hands after going to the bathroom!!!
