While legislators are rushing to create new “Britney Laws” to protect our stars from the paparazzi, LAPD chief William Bratton says, “What we need is Britney Spears to stay home instead of traipsing all over town. That would solve the problem. We don’t need additional laws…. I’ve got laws coming out my ears to deal with this issue….

What you have is several young women in this town and several young men basically making fools of themselves and tying up not only my resources but the resources of the media that would do better covering legitimate stories instead of a bunch of airheads running around out there.”

Our thoughts? Is this a game of cat chasing mouse? Or is the mouse leading on the clutter of cats?

    I can’t believe how the wealthy can afford those HUGE mansions with luxuries we normal folk can’t even imagine, yet they are never in them! Bowling allies, theatres… swimming pools with catering staff….
    Britney…. shop on line, have your shit delivered right to your door…. video-conference with your legal team.. money is no object for you so take advantage. Duh.

    Yes Britney, how dare you step outside and try to live your life like going shopping or getting your hair done. You should always stay at home because you are such a crazy bitch and you should do the world a huge favor by just killing yourself. Shoot yourself dead and then your whole family too. People like you who made all this money off of us shouldn’t be allowed to live a decent life because we are bitter and hate you so much.

    Cynic Cyndi. . . Brit Brit & co. do not go about their business like ordinary citizens; they are complicit in creating the pap frenzy and would probably off themselves if it stopped.

    I do think that Britney kind of asks for the attention sometimes, but she should be able to go out of the house without causing the huge ruckus that she does. The paparazzi have gone way too far with her and they seriously hound her every second of the day. No matter how interesting or shocking her behaviour is, she’s still entitled to a little privacy and for people to not be camping outside her house 24/7 and dangerously following her in cars. Other celebs get this kind of attention to and its only really been in the past few years that it has become really bad. I think there should be laws to protect these celebrities.

    William Bratton ROCKS! I’ll bet the mayor was all over his ass after this was published. I’m sure there are plenty of laws on the books that could be used to stop this crap. How about giving out some tickets? The income would certainly offset these expenses. Sheesh.

    No we are to blame because we buy the magazines, look at the TV and surf the internet for stories about her and other stars. If there was no demand from us, then Britney could easily leave her home in peace. But that aint going to happen, wether she is well or not. Except when she is crazy it gives someone great photos to sell. But do you notice with Lufti out of the way and Adnan forced to keep his mouth shut it so much quieter and you wont find many pictures of her aorund at all. Funny that. I would say that her pals Lufti and Ally and god knows who else were making a mint out of crazy ol’ Britney. I will say it again she has a mental illness, if she was physically disabled people would feel sorry for her.People who make disaparagin comments about her need to read up about bipolar disorder and I hope it never happens to you or someoen close to you because it is common.

    While I might agree that she causes some of the problem, she is not the whole problem. There do need to be laws against these psycho stalkers that get paid by different agencies to invade everyone’s personal space - not just the celebrity. They are making things dangerous for everyone. They have walked over kids, knocked kids down, have pushed people out of the way and have caused injury to others. Hell, they’ve gotten themselves injured by running after a car and getting their feet ran over - yet they blame the driver of the car for not avoiding them when they darted into traffic.

    Why shouldn’t Britney be able to go shopping and get her hair done? Granted, she might want to pick some places that are not as populated by paparazzi, but who says she shouldn’t be able to go to Target?
