Everyone’s favourite Designing Woman, Delta Burke, talks to Entertainment Tonight, in her first interview since entering a psychiatric hospital in January, about why she sought treatment for depression that first cropped up when she was age 13.
Delta on rehab: “I was on five different kinds of medication. After a couple of years the meds stopped working. I needed an adjustment under a physician’s care. I was being proactive. Now I’m on two medications.”Delta on her diagnosis: “I have what they call ‘double depression,’ like two scoops of ice cream!”
Delta on her reported hoarding habit: “I know it’s a problem. At one time I had 27 storage units. I don’t have a big enough house! My mom had it, it’s my mother’s fault! She saved the diaper I came home from the hospital in!”

She might want to discuss that horrid plastic surgery. Shit, I’d be depressed too if I looked like that.
She looks like the Joker (Jack Nicholson version) from batman.
She speaks the truth. Back in the mid-90’s she and her mother used to come into the antique store I managed and would buy TONS of stuff — whole bedroom sets — (beds, dressers, bureaus, etc.) at time. Really big spenders. Very classy ladies. They were SUPER nice people, and would walk through and grab anything and everything that caught their eye — antique pillows, linens, etc. Didn’t need to up sell them anything. They would come in on a mission — to buy. Sorry to hear that it became such a burden for her/them. I wonder if they even used half that stuff, or if it just ended up in the storage locker…
I love Delta, and she was great on DW.
I think she is a beautiful woman, and too bad she had that plastic surgery. She doesn’t look like herself now and that’s unfortunate.

I don’t know why she got the surgery. One of the few benefits of a fat face is that there are less wrinkes.
