GEORGE CLOONEY DOES ‘TIME’ MAGAZINE

george-clooney-time-magazine.jpg

“You don’t say, ‘I don’t talk about my personal life.’ People say they won’t talk about their personal life and then they do. And even when the tabloids say really crappy things … and you know it’s not true, you have to at least publicly have a sense of humour about it.”

George Clooney in Time magazine, out Friday

The movies may not be Blockbusters, but he is critically acclaimed. I saw “Good Night, and Good Luck”- was a great movie. He is Oscar Nominated for “Michael Clayton”, and has one Oscar already for “Syriana”. He is doing JUST fine.

hollywood loves his liberal politics thats why they bombard him with so many awards, and why people no longer believe in awards.

Pffft ego. He has no huge ego. He is a mature man with a great sense of self. He knows how to handle his life, personal and professional, very separately, and he does it masterfully. He’s one of he most grounded in Hollywood these days. He’s right about a sense of humor, he definitely has that, and he uses it to his advantage during every interview. LOVE him.

critically acclaimed by whom, a bunch of elitist liberal movie critics that nobody cares about when they choose to go to a movie, which is why so many people have turned against him.

I think George Clooney is a two-faced ba*t*rd! You should read this article about him. I think he and Warner Bros is campaigning so hard to win best actor in the Oscar. They need more awareness for Michael clayton just to recoup their marketing costs for the movie.

His publicist agent is very, they got him on the cover of Time during Oscar time. I remember he didnt win any other awards the last time and yet he won best supporting actor for Syriana in the Oscar. I would be really pissed if he steals the award from Daniel Day Lewis.

His ego is already triple the size of the man, his off-colored frat boy jokes are more often than not misogynistic - no wonder his picks his women fresh off the stripper pole in Las Vegas, or dates, like the current one, a hooker with a penchant of getting herself photographed wearing no panties in the past.

So he lets himself be praised for the good work he does, but then goes ahead and endorses things like that awful Nescafé that are not environmentally friendly, no wonder something as superficial as TIME like him.

Yeah he’s a little bit cocky and slightly egotistical but its all done with a sense of humor. He’s not vain in the way that people like Paris Hilton or Kanye West is. I really like him. He’s good looking, he’s entertaining and he’s ageing very very well. Perfect for the business that he is in.

George had a facelift last year, but few seem aware of this. Yes, we said FACELIFT, not just the eyes.
However, since the work was good most have not noticed it.
Many sisters feel that George is also a sister.

A poster named Anonyma above implies that George prefers stinkfish - does this mean that George is NOT a sister?

BTW, George never set our ‘fruit-dar’ going.

Are people still going on about George supposedly having his “eyes done”? That was total BS and taken out of context. You can look up the original material where he jokes about all the crazy tabloid rumors by opening his eyes comically wide and saying he got them done (think Marty Feldman)– youtube it! It was an Oprah special, and he was either interviewing or being interviewed by Julia Roberts. If anything, his wrinkles can attest to his not having had a face lift.
    .
Anyway I noticed most of the people griping about George are doing so merely out of disagreement with his politics, and then going from there. So the fuck what? Hollywood also loves Clint Eastwood, and he’s a registered Republican– same goes for Robert Duvall.

Funny. The general public fawns over movie stars and puts them on pedestals and elevates them to god-like status, but then get all pissy when those same stars just happen to voice their political beliefs. What the fuck? You hang on their every word and movement, but when they start talking about something that SHOULD be important to every American, you get indignant? What a bunch of crap.

lat movie star? as in the decript pre 60’s era movies old men?
What about the new standards of beauty set up by the machine and the taste of tha majority…
Look, Lilo is the new bimbo (monroe), Paris is the timeless useless biatch, music is popcorn….
I think is a new face on the same old values…It is not evolution as much a mere replacement.
He just fits the nostalgia for older men…
