Victoria Beckham has spent the entire week in snowy New York City and that’s got us wondering — where does a woman whose accustomed to the very best stay while taking a bite out of the Big Apple?

The answer: The Waldorf - Astoria, of course!

The Royal Suite was created for Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, it is decorated with antiques and period furniture to honor the British Monarch and her husband. It features sweeping views of Manhattan, an oversized living room, and spacious dinning room overlooking Park Ave and St Patrick’s Cathedral. It has opulent details such as gold-embellished woodwork, layers of champagne-colored italian silks, antique mahogany moldings and carefully selected artwork and accessories reinforce the sense of a well-traveled, sophisticated and international elegance.

    Being that I have kids I can’t have all kinds of shit (picture frames, plants, expensive things) right there in the open! This baffles me. They must be telling their kids no all day long!

    The Waldorf Astoria is such a gorgeous hotel. I remember staying there a couple of times when I was a kid. My parents love it but I think its a little over the top…not all the rooms are as garishly designed as this one but its kind of too much I think. It doesn’t look like somewhere where you could really relax in, and certainly not a place for three boys!

    SHE WAS STAYING AT THE FOUR SEASONS.

    ALSO, THE WALDORF ISN’T EVEN IN THE TOP 10 OF N.Y HOTELS. THE PENINSULA, FOURSEASONS, THE CARLYLE, RITZ CARLTON, THE PIERRE ALL WAY BETTER THAN THE SHITTY WALDORF.

    I will admit that the gold mouldings are way over the top, but the rest of the room is decorated in a traditional Continental style–those carpets are classic. It’s certainly not for everyone, but the very, very wealthy seem to like it all right. And even if you think the rooms are garish, I’ve no doubt you’d all gladly stay there if someone else was footing the bill.

    Horrible room. I bet there are lot’s of whorehouses in Amsterdam that look like that.
    Rich people have no taste. Most of them think something is tastefull just because it’s expensive and has a certain reputation.
