Kylie Minogue and Keira Knightley took top honours at the Elle Style Awards at the Westway in Notting Hill, west London on Tuesday.
Keira made up for her Bafta disappointment by scooping the best actress prize, while her Atonement co-star James McAvoy was named best actor.
Meanwhile, Aussie songbird Kylie was named Woman of the Year.
Honourable mentions go out to Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson who was crowned Elle Style Icon for her “distinctive and kooky” fashion sense.

I think Keira looks the best!!! Kate looks okay and Kylie has just lost all of it!!!
Keira should get away from all of the black she wears… She is a young girl who could get a way with a lot in a fashion sense.

I actually really love Kylie’s dress. The color is so rich and beautiful and I love the way it falls on her. I just can’t stand her hair and makeup though, too modern for the dress she’s wearing. Keira’s whole outfit kind of falls flat for me but I think Kate looks great. Not many people could pull off that white dress but she certainly manages to!
Kylie no longer looks completely human. Somewhere in the last couple years, she crossed into plastic nightmare face territory. A shame. I think she wears the extra 3 lbs or whatever is well though.
Kiera: That hair and makeup is ridiculous. And that dress is awful–party on the top and schoolmarm on the bottom. And the tights are just the mayo on the shit sandwich.
Kylie: Love the dress, hate the belt. As Stephi noted, the hair is all wrong.
Kate: The dress is sorta pretty, but not fitted well on her. Looks like she could easily have gone a size smaller. Her hair’s a mess.

i said that kylies dress is gorgeous if she would get rid of the black/silver belt. it would look better sans belt, but if she feels like she has to wear a belt, a brown/gold tone belt would be better.
I like how Kate Hudson looks. Kylie’s dress would be very nice if she could lost that ridiculous belt.
And I don’t like Kiera outfit at all.

Ah, Keira. She’s been having a lot of misses lately. Her makeup is all weird here, and this look is too harsh for someone so young. Hair sucks too.
Kylie: Gorgeous dress! I love the color and the way it falls on her, it would have been even more beautiful without that silver brooch. Hair and makeup are wrong.
Kate: I love the dress, but Kate’s looks as of late has been pretty underwhelming. Bangs do not suit her very well– it kind of hides/detracts attention from her cute, sunny face and smile. She should have worn her hair up.
