We figure, if the first snap of Britney Spears fresh out of the hospital gets endless fanfare, then the first released photo of Angelina Jolie in Iraq today more than deserves some attention.
Between meeting with world leaders and dignitaries, the superstar dogooder mingled with American troops during lunch at a dining facility in the heavily guarded Green Zone, which houses the embassy and Iraqi government offices in central Baghdad.

i too have relatives in Iraq. it is hard, and i don’t really see why Angie is there either but i’m not going to be an ass about it… and to the person above me, they don’t get paid much at all and there are many reasons people join the military other than honor and choice… and many, many regret it. anybody who comes from a military family would agree with me and even mybrotherisiniraq. it’s hard, much emotional stress dealing with loved ones over seas. this war won’t end for a very long time. i hope your friends and family are okay mybrotherisiniraq and to anyone else with friends and family in the military or Iraq and other difficult countries. nobody understands but other people in your situation, remember that and god bless.

read what the dignitaries she met to talk about the refugees and to seek help for them said about her.
Angelina talked to Iraqi PR (PRIME MINISTER), as well as to gen. Petracus and Under secretary of State Paula Dobriansky. Angelina ALWAYS does her homework and, over the years, she’s learned enough to be relevent.
During all those 7 years (don’t forget she is still very young at 32) she’s been nothing but humble, always saying that she’s been learning and doing what she can to help those people (by giving her own money, drawing attention to them, talking about them and asking help for them).
Really, she’s not “other celebrities” and she proved that.
