Mom and daughter duo Madonna and Lourdes Leon happily greet fans at their star-studded charity dinner, A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF, in New York City on Wednesday.
Despite her good intentions — to raise money and awareness for orphans and children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in Africa — it seems nothing Madge does can go without being shrouded in controversy. Critics have objected to the use of the U.N. grounds to kick off a Gucci store opening and raised concerns about ties between Madonna’s charity Raising Malawi and The Kabbalah Centre, a body devoted to a mystical form of Judaism followed by the Material Mom.
Notably, Raising Malawi’s founder Michael Berg is also co-director of The Kabbalah Centre.

Madonna does look amazing there! Nice to see her hair lighter (and no major roots showing!). She looks like a classic beauty there.
Wowww I think Madonna looks gorgeous here. She’s finally looking and dressing her age instead of running around in fluro leotards. That kind of look just made her look stupid in my opinion. She really looks great for her age though and I love that she’s still pumping out the hits and touring.
