In an attempt to minimize the number of posts regarding Britney Spears and her endless mental breakdowns and custody/conservatorship/legal battles, here’s a summary covering today’s goings-on.
– a court-appointed lawyer told the Commissioner he visited Britney yesterday and concluded that she is not competent enough to understand the nature or the impact of the current legal proceedings– lawyers have been trying to serve Sam Lutfi with a restraining order prohibiting him from seeing Brit-Brit, but he has refused to open the door
– Attorney Adam Streisand (yes, cousin of Barbra) asked to take Jamie Spears off as conservator of Britney’s estate and name Northern Trust Bank and Howard Grossman, Brit’s business manager, as conservators. He is arguing that her estate is worth $40 million. He also said Brit is in the middle of a $17 million IRS audit and she has 15 different businesses
– co-conservators Jamie Spears and Andrew Wallet have asked the court for the power to terminate the services of Britney’s divorce lawyers, Trope and Trope. Why? Papa Spears doesn’t appreciate the fact that they’re buddy-buddy with the evil Sam Lutfi

Her legal issues are just sooo complicated and extensive. I’m surprised that her estate is only worth $40 millon though. I would have thought a lot more. I guess Kevin was a pretty big spender for Brit and the costs of her ongoing court battles and rehab stays wouldn’t help the pocket.

Sometimes I think the celeb hags — the same people who seemed to feel cheated that they couldn’t see photos of Heath Ledger’s actual dead body — will never be satisfied unless Spears does away with herself, preferably in public at high noon in front of every camera in California.
