Actor and director Antonio Banderas and wife Melanie Griffith are in Malaga, Spain, today.
The old married couple just attended the funeral for Antonio’s father, Jose Dominguez Prieto, who died Saturday at age 87.
Prieto, who was a policeman in Spain’s Civil Guard for 45 years, had been battling a long illness.

These pics really are gross. I can’t imagine trying to bury someone that I loved while having people making it some sort of spectator sport. I know they do it to everybody but it is icky for all.

Agreed, especially the one with his old mum, its so distasteful. Everyone should be allowed to grieve privately and in peace.

Just looking at that top pic makes me feel like I’m invading their privacy. Sorry for your loss AB.

she looks old!

Arasto, you really shouldn’t have posted these pictures. That’s crossing the line.

Yes this is not fair. I would be so devasted if somebody posted pictures of me attending a family member’s funeral. It is a very private moment and should only be witnessed by those that are family and friends. I mean seriously…who takes photos at a funeral!? The paparazzi have gone crazy lately and these blogs are not helping by posting the pictures. It’s more encouragement for bad behavior. My thoughts are with Antonio and his family, he seems like a really nice guy.

Aww, poor him. This post shouldn’t have happened really.

I agree. Let’s try to respect the families privacy. What’s happening to the world?
February 4th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Yes this is very weird. Why would anyone bring a camera to a family funeral? You should have declined to post these pictures or at the very least you should do the right thing and remove the pictures from your website now.

I agree with Nina. Arasto, why don’t you take this down? Have a heart.

He was civil guard, not policeman… civil guards aren´t a police part… it´s kinda rangers.
It´s a militar corp with an old tradition here, their mission is protect citicens, traffic, inmigrants, terrorism control, scientist reseach… they are the best qualified, and the only ones who seems to care about generic violence against women.

This makes me cry, that’s just sick to take pictures at the funeral like that. I feel so sorry for him and his family.

There’s been a few really disturbing pictures lately, not just on this site. In addition to these pictures there’s the one of Heath Ledger’s body being removed from the apartment in a body bag.
