It’s showdown day for Britney Spears’ as she attempts to fight to regain control of her estate.
The hospitalized pop princess, who has just been handed a 14-day extension into her involuntary stay at UCLA’s Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, particularly desires that her father not have any control over her life.
Lawyers representing Britney are expected to be present in court today, and shall argue that given Britney’s consistent feelings of distrust and hatred for her father, that her appointment as conservator of her estate is inappropriate.
So, does Britney have a point? Or are these merely ramblings of a bipolar nut? Well, according to the evil Sam Lutfi, Brit’s exiled former manager, insists the father is only interfering in his daughter’s life at the current time for control of her money.
Only time — and arbitration — will tell the outcome of this saga.
Stay tuned!!

^^^ WTF?????????
.
I think Britney would have a problem with ANYONE controlling her estate at this point. This situation is not at all surprising.
she needs to focus on getting better, not this crap. this is getting sadder by the hour.
It would be better to have a court appointed party control the estate, not someone with a vested interest.
Someone has to take control…. she obviously can not do it on her own, and it’s not as if her father is going to go on a shopping spree or sell everything she owns out form under her. I don’t doubt her parents love for her, and them wanting to protect her.
I don’t think her Father has ever wanted her to be famous like this. It seems like that is why her parents got divorced, it was just too much strain. I don’t think he wants or cares to take her $$ away from her but he is really trying to help because there is nobody left to do it besides him.
My husband’s ex is bi-polar. Like Brit, she hates her parents. We have become close to her parents so that they see their grandson. I think this hatred is typical of the mental illness. Hopefully the shrink will testify so that the judge has total clarity.
If the ex’s parents were given any control over her she’d flip out, too. While Jaime’s intentions may be good, it may harm the situation more. This whole thing sounds like a good way for brit delay her treatment.
So, the lawyers believe that she can’t feed or dress herself, but they will respect her feelings when she says she hates her Dad?
The lawyers want her money too- everyone is after her money.
There is a co-conservator right now who’s not her father who controls her financial affairs. I think it’s more Sam Lufti doing this because he wants her money.
