Lynne and Jamie Spears make a drop by the UCLA Medical Center for a 5-hour visit to see their hospitalized daughter Britney on Saturday afternoon.
The fairweather parents arrived to the hospital after first dropping by the home of Kevin Federline.
After being diagnosed with severe bipolar, it looks like Britney can look forward to many more visits. According to the latest reports, papers are in the works to extend Britney’s involuntary stay at the psych ward by two weeks.
Meanwhile, The Los Angeles Police Department was reportedly called to Brit’s Beverly Hills home Friday after her parents discovered valuable possessions were missing.

Yeah they really need to leave her parents alone. They aren’t celebrities and I’m sure they aren’t going to tell anything to the guys that harass their daughter all the time. It’s great that they are both here keeping and eye on Britney and I think a two week break is just what she needs. Has it actually been confirmed that she has bipolar now? I’m not surprised. It would be nice if Kevin could find a way to let the little boys visit their mama, I’m sure that would make her day….although it could just upset her.

Maybe they should have had 24 hour security at Brit’s house (though even THAT doesn’t guarantee that she won’t be burglarized). The paparazzi really needs to fuck off and leave those two parents alone. Sure, they (at least the mother anyway) pushed their kids into stardom and this is the price of fame and fortune but it really is rediculous to hound these two people when they’re clearly struggling through a difficult time.

Arasto, why would you belittle her parents with the term “fairweather”? They are really trying to help her after being pushed out by both her illness and her so-called manager Lufti. Family is really all anyone has when they are in need and I’m so happy that Brit has people that will protect her.

^^^^agreed, psl. lock her up until next year and I’d be personally grateful. Hopefully she’ll receive the treatment she needs and sticks with it. In the meantime it’s great not to have to see pictures of a deteriorating mess roaming around gas stations at all hours of the night. It’s just too bad that NOW she’s getting help. This should’ve happened months ago!
