Michelle Williams has released her first statement following the January 22 death of Heath Ledger.
“Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day.”
Meanwhile, Michelle and Matilda are planning to fly to Perth for Heath’s funeral next week.

Oh that is just gorgeous. What a beautiful statement and I’m sure she means every word of it. It must be so hard for her to look at her little girl at this time though, seeing as she does resemble Heath so so much. I am certain that Michelle will make sure that Matilda knows just how much her daddy loved her. It will be so hard for her to have to explain what happened to him though. My thoughts are with Michelle as she has still got so much ahead of her.
