It was another wild and tragic night for Britney Spears.
Her psychiatrist reportedly visited her yesterday and Brit-Brit’s behaviour warranted hospitalization - another 5150 under California law, meaning she is a danger to herself and others. Police were called and she was taken, quietly this time, by ambulance from her Studio City home around 1 a.m. to UCLA Medical Center, where her doctor practices. Mom Lynne has been on the scene. She will be held for 72 hours. After that, a doctor could order her to be held longer.
What brought on the hospitalization? “She was driving around her neighborhood like a mad-woman,” a Spears family source tells People. “Britney has been prescribed medication which she refuses to take. This is just another sad, sad evening.”
Manager/friend Sam Lutfi and Spears’s father, Jamie, arrived at the hospital shortly after the singer. Her mother was later spotted leaving the home with Spears’s photographer beau, Adnan Ghalib.
Earlier in the night, Internet rumours claimed that the singer had attempted suicide, but those were refuted by the family.

oh dear britney! i REALLY hope this time someone forces her some help. Because this is just getting tragic….
It is crazy the amount of drama that is in this girl’s life every day. I swear every morning when I turn on the computer her face pops up first. Get some help and go retire somewhere far away because you have seriously worn out your welcome. I hope they hold her in there for as long as they can this time.
It’s about time. Sam should GTF outta there and let her parents deal with the situation. AND I hope we don’t see anything of Britney until she is out of the hospital and back in control her life again.

Anyway, finally they got her in a hospital. Hopefully this time they keep her there.
Obviously she has no control over her state at mind sometimes, so I don’t understand why she isn’t looked after more…? Ah, I think Sam is at the root of her problems. He probably tells her she looks good and everyone wants to see her go out to gas stations and drug stores every night or else no one will love her. He looks annoying so I can only imagine being around him. He is mentally abusing Britney I think. He is with her all the time, so she is feeding into everything he has to say, good or bad.
No one knows all the real information and facts, so it is hard to make a conclusion about every story reported about her.

I think she’s been scraping rock bottom for a while but now she’s actually hit it. I hope that she hasn’t harmed herself and that this is the moment when she was realise that the past two years of her life have just been a mess. She can do better for herself. I think that she is partly to blame for where she is right now but its obvious she has mental issues or is deeply disturbed by the craziness that surrounds her. I don’t think she knows whether to love or hate the attention. She hasn’t lived a normal life since she was 15 and I think doing that now would be very frightening to her.
