Us Weekly’s new issue says Michelle Williams drove Heath Ledger to rehab in 2006 but he refused to get out of the car.
For three years, Williams was a firsthand witness to the gifted actor’s use of alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, heroin and “a variety of pills,” says a Ledger confidant.
In March 2006 – just weeks after the couple walked the Oscars red carpet and when daughter Matilda was only five months old – Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, the confidant tells Us Weekly.
Ledger refused to check in, instead swaying her with a pledge to clean up.
Meanwhile, the tab reports Michelle was inconsolable when news of Heath’s death broke. Says a source who was on the Swedish set of her upcoming flick: “She cried and screamed as soon as she heard.”

Everyone states “Let him rest in peace” though look at the other people that have died on a drug OD, and yet (not pointing fingers) you run them down? ie: ANS, Her Son, and MANY others.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful but … what do you think the truth is then? A fact is a fact, no judgement involved. Perhaps it is not true, but perhaps it is. People deserve the same amount of respect before physical death as after.
I don’t think that a junkie deserves any respect; he probably ruined his daughter’s life.
Maybe this is true, maybe it isn’t, at this point it doesn’t matter, this is only making matters worse for his family. I can’t imagine hear about my child the way the Ledger family has had to hear about Heath. Maybe he did have a problem in the past, maybe he didn’t I didn’t know him personally, but out of respect for his greaving friends and family, this shoud stop. Poor little Matilda is going to be hearing about this when she gets older, she isn’t going to know who her dad is. My heart wrenches for this little beautiful angel.
Could Michelle really feel at ease with herself if she knew that Heath (as it seems) had an addition/problem and didn’t do everything in her power to get him help? Thus her utter pain upon hearing the awful news. Fits to me. If you were to deny this story it seems you will also be denying Michelle’s knowledge of her lover’s problem and her lack of movement on it. Careful who you are protecting and for what reasons.
It is hard to watch all the old interviews of Heath they have bben showing on TV since he died, since in most of them you can plainly see that he was abusing substances. Therefore is is important for the press to report the truth about how he died to teach others the dangers of drugs and alcohol. It is sad, but that is reality.

I on the other hand do no name calling, (actually I assume altruism in others) and only say what I think seems to fit. STOP IT! JUST STOP IT! Heath was a talented actor. He lived an understated lifestyle (out of the limelight), and he kept to himself. People who knew him all agree that he was a great person, so PLEASE STOP SLAMMING HIM AFTER HIS DEATH.

Are you saying Heath didn’t have a problem? (although he admitted in public to having sleeping problems and he had a plethora of prescibed drugs around him at his side) Are you saying Michelle didn’t know about it? (being her daughter’s father and close lover, and it was public knowledge) and Are you saying that Michelle would not do what she could to help him if he did? Perhaps, but to me highly unlikely if she was the lover she seemed to be. What is your problem with what I am saying?

I think they need to leave all this alone now and stop trying to dig up dirt on him. He tried really hard to keep his private life out of the tabloids and now that he’s not here its like everything is fair game. It’s disgusting. Have a little respect for him. And also for his family who are the ones that have to read this crap while still trying to come to terms with their loss. Why do we need to know if he had a drug problem or not? Why is it any of anyone’s business? Let sleeping dogs lie and let Heath rest in peace.
i think everyone should get a life, the fact all this shit has come out after his death tells me that no one gave a shit what he was doing when he was alive, or they would not make it public due to the fact he would defend himself and most likely sue their ass”s off.
