Heath’s father Kim arrives in New York City on Monday night
The burial plans for Heath Ledger have not been made public, but The New York Daily News is reporting that the star will be laid to rest in a $25 000 mahogany casket lined with cream-colored velvet.
The deceased 28-year-old was remembered by family and some stars (exes Michelle Williams and Naomi Watts) in a private service in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Heath will be buried this week in Perth, Australia. His uncle, Mike Ledger, tells Australian news services that the family is still finalizing plans.

Did you pay a photo agency for that shot?
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Why do we need to know how much was paid for his casket? And what it was lined with?
Next thing we are going to hear are designers bidding to be able to dress him as he is laid to rest.
Where does it end?! Not every detail of this mans life, and ending of his life, need to be shared with the rest of the world.
Let Heath rest in peace, and his family mourn in privacy.
Key word here kids, “Privacy”.

I don’t think anybody needs to know what kind of casket he is being buried in. That’s a very personal thing I think and not something to be splashed all across the news. His family must be hating all this attention. There needs to be a line that is drawn as to what is printed and what is not when celebrities die. There has been hardly any respect shown with Anna Nicole or Heath Ledger, I think its disgusting.
