MARY-KATE (FINALLY!) SPEAKS

Even though she’s nowhere to be seen, the woman at the centre of the tragic death of Heath Ledger has issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

Says Mary-Kate Olsen: “Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.”

Contrary to reports that the NYPD is interested in questioning MK about the phone calls made by the masseuse who discovered Heath’s lifeless body on Tuesday, a rep today said the stories are simply untrue and they have no interest in talking with her.

    It’s all so sad. In general, I wish there was something more creative to say then “My thoughts are with his/her family at this difficult time”. I know you really can’t say anything to make it better but EVERYONE says this. I always struggle writing sympathy cards because of this.

    ^Which is exactly why she should just shut the fuck up. Seriously, she waited four days after his death to release THAT one-sentence statement. If you’re going to make a statement at all (especially if you were his friend) then try doing it before the body is damn-near buried. I hope she had enough class to call and send flowers to the family (one or the other or both). Stupid troll tacky bitch.

    I hate it when one camp says one thing and the other camp says the complete opposite. What is the fucking point of LYING to everyone. If she was phoned, there would be EVIDENCE of those phone calls, and they SAY there is evidence of said phone calls, so WHY is she saying she never RECEIVED any. Gawd.

    I would say that MKO and Heath may have had a “friends with benefits” type of relationship–nothing wrong with that at all. From what I have seen so far it looks like he has had a problem sleeping for a long time and just took to many meds trying to get some rest. Just bad luck and a damn shame.

    There are just so many rumors and allegations flying around, its hard to know what is true or not. I don’t see why people feel the NEED to know the truth anyway. It’s really none of our business. It’s been a tragic loss for Heath’s family and friends and for the entertainment industry who lost a great talent. It doesn’t matter to me how he died or who was involved, all that matters now is that he is gone and he should be let to rest in peace.
