The news of the day may be Heath Ledger’s funeral, but already, some stars are reacting to the non-stop media coverage of the very reclusive actor.
Star Jones has written an editorial bashing the endless, salacious stories about the Heath’s demise, saying it made her “sick.”
Meanwhile, CNN’s Anderson Cooper announced on his blog that until there was actual news to report, he’d be staying away from the Ledger story. “I am not a fan of speculation, so unless there is something really new to discuss we probably won’t be covering it anymore anytime soon,” wrote Cooper.
And finally, responding to the Westboro Baptist Church’s plan to picket any Ledger funeral or memorial service to be held in the States, the Anti-Defamation League has just issued a statement saying the actor’s funeral “should be no place for haters.â€
Kudos to all who stand up for something!

media hypocrite just as sick as the rest.
hopefully more of the media will stay away from speculation in this case. there’s no point to it. In two weeks when the reports are back, we’ll know how he died. the only reason to speculate in the meantime, is for headlines. leave it alone.
btw his ratings are in the toilet nobody watches him, but you woul think differently ball the hype
overrated riding his mommy’s coattails.
Star’s Editorial is really good. We are wolves tearing at the flesh of humanity to get our savory taste of celebrity.. to sum it up metaphorically
CLASS ACT!!!
Man, so much vitriol. Why are so many of us like that? I mean, we live this life once, ya know?
I wish God would strike the Westboro Baptist Church and its entire congregation with a gigantic lightning bolt.
Good. I felt the same way when that football player died from the Redskins. They speculated and gossiped about his “past” and implied that his murder was his own fault. It turns out he was only trying to protect his family from a home invader. People need to learn to have a little fucking respect for the deceased and their greiving families.
