Talking about the topic de jour, the sleazebag journalist dismissed the deceased actor as a “weirdo” with a “serious drug problem,” and annoyingly mocked the “I wish I knew how to quit you” line from Brokeback Mountain, jabbing that Heath had found the definitive way to “quit you.” To ensure he captures this year’s Douchebag of the Year Award, Gibson also repeatedly suggested that Heath had killed himself in response to other grim national headlines.
Tonight, however, a slightly more contrite Gibson concluded his segment by saying, “To anyone offended by my comments [yesterday], I’m sorry.” To further clarify, he added that he was also sorry that Ledger had died.
Meanwhile, in non-senile news, production on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus — which Heath had been in the midst of filming — has shut down.
And finally, funeral arrangements have been made for the 28-year-old gone-too-sooon actor and relatives are expected to arrive in New York City tomorrow. Other than that, however, “The family doesn’t want us to give out any information.”

I still can’t believe Heath is gone. That we will never see another movie of him, interview, see him age gracefully which I’m sure with his looks he would certainly look better as he got older, or hear his voice. I simply can’t beleive how upset I am about this. I only saw Brokeback last year and LOVED it…. he was fantastic in it…. I just still can’t wrap my head around the fact that he … is just gone.
