Daniel Day Lewis is a class act.
I love that man. He is an unbelieveable actor, and has floored me in many performances. He is also handsome and sexy as hell, which doesn’t hurt. Nice.

I feel him. His sentiments echo mine exactly…I feel like I would have really liked him had I known him. He seemed like the type of guy that would just sit back and have a beer with you and have no airs or graces about who he was. Daniel Day Lewis speaks very well and his sentiments seemed very real unlike a lot of Hollywood stars who are speaking out about it.
Whatever at least he’s more realistic than Lohan and her croc tears. This is a classy gesture from a BRILLIANT actor and a real person. Oprah sucks arse these days.
He, unlike Travolta, sounds sincerely upset by Ledger’s passing.
That was really nice of Daniel to say and do. He didn’t have to talk about it, the interview was going to be all about him, and he was the one who brought it up. Very classy of him, especially coming from a fellow young actor.

I agree, I feel, hmm, like that is all I can think about. I just feel so horrible, I never even met him, all though he was in my home several times through my TV. I feel like I missed something from not knowing him. I wish there were more I could do to help the family. But, only time will help heal the wounds.
Mr. Daniel Day Lewis, you are one of the great actors, influential artist, and a good soul. I share your sentiments for Heath and the Ledger family. I admire you work even more so you’re human selflessness display of emotion. You are a class act.

It was genuine, noone can deny that. I think he is echoing alot of the thoughts and feelings of many people, especially in the acting world. A great talent was lost, and it is a great thing that respect is being paid to a man who was taken too soon.

Yeah, we were disgusted at Oprah’s obvious disinterest in his pain and mourning. She didn’t seem moved at all and she met Heath! Whereas the rest of us didn’t know Heath and are still deeply saddened. The whole way she treated that moment was shallow. I also thought it was so tacky to have a show about this stupid award show and just pretend like everything was good. It’s not. Someone very special is gone, but in Oprah’s world her celebrity addiction continues.
^^^ I thought the same thing about Oprah’s reaction in part because the moment was spontaneous and maybe she didnt’ have time to react properly and prepare. I don’t know…. she is on a script for her show (I think) and her mind-set was on doing the interview…. maybe he caught her off-guard?? I do agree though her face showed very little emotion. Maybe she was ticked he had taken HER interview time for himself and his own emotions.
She IS used to being in control 100% of the time and suddenly her own show was “hi-jacked’ so to speak.

I think everyone feels the same way. It is an unsettling feeling. Celebrity deaths are a strange thing, but this one is most disturbing. I can’t explain it but Heath’s death is so different. Too tragic.
