Standing in front of Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Marcia Cross declared that she simply cannot imagine what it would be like to have a breast removed and be forced to leave the hospital the same day.
The Desperate Housewives beauty was in Washington, D.C. lobbying for a proposal to end so-called “drive-through mastectomies.” The 45-year-old actress and new mom came equipped with a petition containing 20 million signatures supporting legislation that would let a woman and her doctor decide when it’s time to go home.

i think this type of thing is so much more productive and meaningful than campaigning for a presidential candidate and handing out buttons.
