Here’s an update as to what has developed while you were sleeping.
First, an autopsy today may help provide answers as to what happened. But that hasn’t stopped certain publication from speculating. Page Six says the actor was taking Ambien and antidepressants.
“I was hearing that he was depressed,” says actor Jonathan Zarin, who met Heath through mutual friends. “I’m sure he must have been in a really bad place. I’d been hearing that for a while.”
Meanwhile, Michelle Williams, mother of his 2-year-old baby daughter Matilda, is said to be “devastated.” Heath’s former wife, who was shooting a movie in Sweden, was informed of his death late Tuesday night and left for NYC early Wednesday morning.
And finally, in an interview months ago, Ledger spoke of having trouble sleeping.
And, in a Times interview conducted in November (07), the troubled actor admitted his workaholic nature was keeping him awake at night.
He said, “Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night. I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going”.
And while his untimely death has shocked fans and peers alike, sources reveal that it appears Heath’s death was accidental — not a result of suicide.
There have been numerous reports suggesting that Ledger took his own life by ingesting a boatload of pills. Contrary to initial reports, the pills that were “scattered” around Ledger’s apartment were actually in containers. We’re told the containers were not littering the apartment. Rather, some were in the medicine cabinet and some in other rooms.
Truly sad.

Accidently swallowing enough sleeping pills to kill you??? hmmmmmmmm He must have been VERY awake.

Something sounds fishy.. but can’t speculate til all the details are out there… we may never really know. That’s sad for the family and friends, not knowing what happened and why.
Michelle was not his wife, everyone is saying that, but, they never got married, they were engaged. But, it is really sad. He was also sick at the time. He had been traveling, from Alstraila to London to New York in one week, the jet lag alone would be enough to need some help sleeping, but, to be sick and already having trouble sleeping, he could have taken 1 too many. My heart goes out to Michelle and their beautiful daughter. Michelle has to be just crushed. I will continue to pray for her and her daughter. Matilda is the most important thing right now and I hope people (media) will respect their privacy at this time! It is just so sad.
^^they won’t carrie… this will be drug through the mud just like everything else b/c of our (the public’s) insatiable need to know and be involved in everyone’s business (famous or not) ** AND THEN GET IN FIGHTS OVER IT.. WOW
I’ve been hearing Dr’s on television saying that it is unlikely he accidentally overdosed on sleeping pills alone and that it would take an enormous amount to kill him. And that men rarely commit suicide with pills…they usually take their lives in a more violent manner.
Maybe a combo of anti-depressants and sleeping pills or even otc meds for colds could have a fatal interaction.
Or there is the unlikely theory that he had an unknown medical condition…
my heart breaks for that little girl. she is the image of her father. i have not seen a child look SO much like their parent.

I don’t understand how you can “accidently” take enough sleeping pills to kill you. Why were they laying all around his head? It seems strange. I still can’t believe he is dead! I absolutely LOVED him in the patriot. He was so friggin hot! I would have never guessed this one out of all the celebs in Hollywood.

M2C… very easily… the same way Anna Nicole Smith died….. she took the perscribed amount of many different types of meds….. that’s how they ruled her death ‘accidental’ via pills.
