Jennifer Lopez has been M.I.A. since ending her North American tour and now we know why — the mum-to-be has been busy planning the baby shower to end all baby showers!
The 38-year-old is set to have a baby shower on January 22 at The Private Roof Club and Garden at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York. “It’s going to be huge,” an insider tells In Touch. “And there will be a lot of celebrity friends there.” The best part: J. Lo is giving out Swarovski encrusted baby pacifiers in the gift bag. J. Lo and her hubby, Marc Anthony, 39, are having twins, so they should expect double the gifts!
Fabulous! All that’s missing now is an endless flow of Cristal and a few caged penguins.

Those will be two of the most spoiled children to ever be raised. In about 15 years there will be 2 more Paris Hilton’s running around LA dancing on tables and fucking everything that walks.

I totally agree that she is probably hiding out because she’s having trouble coping with the weight gain. Just the same as Jessica Alba will be in my opinion. It’s really sad that the skinny trend has got so bad that women actually feel gross when they are pregnant!
And why do guests need crystal pacifiers? I don’t have a child and I would find it weird if I was given a crystal pacifier….

When has JLo ever been super skinny? Super image-conscious and super fit maybe, but never super skinny. She just ain’t got skinny bones.

The shower sounds hilariously tacky and I almost wish it were true, but it’s InTouch reporting, so it’s probably some intern completely making it up.

If your a thin person and you get pregnant it’s hard to get used to have all that weight on. I know because i’m going through it right now. I think she will be an excellent mother. She is going a bit overboard with Swarovski encrusted baby pacifiers but hey if you got it spend it. She must be so thrilled because having a family has always been one of her accomplishments. Marc is soooo in love with her that it makes him sexy to me ( even though he’s not physically attractive).

Jennifer Lopez has been 38 yrs. old forever…I believe she’s 40 or will be turning 40 this year.

Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24th, 1969. She turned 38 this past year (2007). She is 38 years old. Anyway, I’m happy for her. I think that she will be a wonderful mother and continue to be a successful entertainer.
