Some shocking news to report: Brad Renfro was found dead at his Los Angeles home this morning.

The 25-year-old actor, who made his film debut in The Client, had a history of drug abuse and run-ins with the law.

The cause of his death has not yet been determined.

We’re speechless.

Wow, that’s so young. I don’t really remember him in any movies but I do remember his run-in with the law last year. Wasn’t he all the way fucked up in some pictures that came out???

don’t you mean “In Memorium” not that he’s a memo or addendum to a thought. Sad, btw.

It is really sad, I loved him in Apt Pupil he really showed promise but hey he chose drugs. Hollywood strikes again! I can’t believe he was only 25…this is really sad.
What I don’t get though is why Lohan is still around?! At least Renfro had talent.

Our generation is so lost!!! Any one that was born btwn the years 1980-1983 really have suffered major psychological setbacks. WE are not represented at all in politics, movies, etc..No one really cares about us..I feel sorry for his soul/he was tormented.

He was in ‘Sleepers’ also….that book was so intense. The movie was pretty damn good too. He had a long history of drug abuse- so sad.
I hope Lohan looks at this, and uses it as a reminder to stay sober.

He’s from my hometown. I remember how proud and excited everyone was when he was in “The Client.” He had so much promise! Then, he got involved with drugs. Sad.

AWR, not EVERYONE who was born between 1980 and 1983 has psychological setbacks and isn’t cared about. I think you need a hug. :(

I can’t say I know who this dude is, but that’s still awful news. Sooo young! I guess he got caught up in the drugs and just went downhill from there. I wonder if it was an accidental overdose or suicide? My thoughts are with his family and friends at the moment.

Wow…that’s so sad. I know he did “better” work, but he’ll always be Huck Finn to me.

AWR actually used the words “major psychological setbacks” from what, not having an uplifting football team movie from 1982, or that Obama is not 25 freakin years old? Oh, boy do you have a lot of growing up to do if you think cultural reference equals psychological health. Poor, poor you, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Hopefully he rests in peace, obviously he was troubled and hopefully he can now rest.

I know who he is, and have seen alot of movies that he was in. He is very talented, and obviously needed help and didn’t get it in time.

    My condolences to his family.

Apt Pupil showed everyone who saw it that this kid could hold his own with Ian McKellen, not an easy thing too do.
Wasted promise, unrealized dreams and then nothing. Drugs are soooo coool.
