Golden Globe winner Daniel Day-Lewis tells February’s Men’s Vogue, on stands this week, “My gratitude for what I do is very keenly and privately felt and acknowledged.”
The There Will Be Blood star adds that he is aware that because he can afford to pick and choose roles carefully he is perceived as being somewhat of a hermit and a reluctant performer, but “I don’t see it like that, not at all.”
“I’m completely aware, and have always been aware, of the privilege of being able to work when I want to work, and to not work when I don’t want to.”

When did films and actors become only about ‘hotness’? He’s the best actor of his generation and a a stand up guy indeed - and hell, he IS hot, if not for those reasons alone. All you losers out there that only want “hot” posts, you suck.

There is no one like him and never will. All these Hollywood idiots who supposedley are Hot- don’t even come near his ankles. Daniel is Hot in his own eccentric way, and he does not need to be in every premiere or magazine to prove what he is. A little mystery in a celebrity is always appreciated, atleast to real movie fans not morons buying US weekly wanting to know what the hell Britney is doing now. Maybe that’s why he never does media because of these stupid people knocking down the way he looks instead of what’s real important.
