Camera shy actress Jessica Alba puts her phobias aside as she does a photoshoot in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The pregnant movie starlet changed outfits and wigs several times. She was also seen holding her small pregnancy bump in as she posed in a series of outfits and wigs for a photo-shoot as she embarks on a publicity drive for her new movie The Eye.
Meanwhile, in the new issue of Elle magazine, the soon-to-be Mrs. Warren insists she’s fiercely proud of her roots and wants to learn more about Mexican history, despite recent reports she was ashamed of her Latin heritage. Says Jessica: “I’m proud of my heritage. That’s all I know! I only know a Mexican-American upbringing. Nobody really knows what to do with me. I’m half Latin, but I grew up in the States, and I can’t get roles playing a Latina because I don’t speak Spanish. And I don’t want to be the best friend, or the promiscuous girl, or the maid, because those stereotypes still exist with Latin roles. I want to be a leading lady.”
Three words: Good Luck Chuck.

Well, if she doesn’t want to play the best friend, or the promiscuous girl, or the maid, that doesn’t leave much for American actresses. Really good, strong leading lady parts are hard to come by as she would be competing with the Cate Blanchetts, the Kate Winsletts and the Jodie Fosters, and I honestly don’t think she’s at their level acting-wise.

The eye looks like the biggest joke every made.
That bitch hates that she’s even remotely ethnic. Little Miss ‘my nose is too round’ needs to STFU.
Ha! She wishes she was a natural blonde. whatever.
I am kinda with her on this one. I feel like I am understanding what she is saying for once, and I don’t completely hate it.
Black Velveteen…i think your right. She could never been blonde, she looks almost black in the face.
I just read what she said and that is troubling…I read a while back that Salma Hayek was making the same complaints. It’s probably true, that’s why you don’t see too many minority actors or actresses.
I don’t like her with blonde hair really. I think its too obvious that its not her natural color and she just looks a lot better with brown. She seems to be obsessed with talking about her heritage and the fact that her family was overweight and she used to cook her own meals blah blah blah….seriously does she not have anything else to talk about? I’m not a fan of her at all and I’ve heard the same stories from her like twenty times. Pretty face but BORING!
Ewwww, that hair! Ewww, that outfit! She looks like a middle-aged California realtor.
no, i totally understand her. it’s not that we hate being “ethnic”, it’s the being-your-stereotype part thats hated, and she probably feels that if she takes those roles, she’ll only be cementing those stereotypes as truth and giving them validity.
