Yeah this is a bit mean. I don’t have a problem with the pictures being posted but to do this big reveal and joke about her being a ‘bikini-clad beach goddess’ is a bit much. Yes she’s a bigger girl and she really shouldn’t be wearing a two piece if she doesn’t want comments like that to be made….but maybe she’s happy with her weight and feels comfortable enough around her husband to wear a bikini.

I don’t see anything mean about pointing out that this woman, who appears to be morbidly obese, is wearing a bikini and shouldn’t be. If people actually looked at their own bodies maybe folks would pay more attention to what they put into their mouths. It’s not acceptable to be obese. It’s self-distructive.

That’s just mean. If they are happily married, who cares? I applaud her for having the security and self esteem to wear whatever the hell she wants. For the record, I’m a lot smaller (size four) and I feel too self conscious to wear a bikini.

while i agree that she is not morbidly obese (defined as 100 lbs over your ideal [ideal being medically healthy] body weight) she does look like she falls into the medically obese (20% over ideal body weight). regarding the comment about her being an average sized woman….just because everyone is doing it does that make it ok? no. it is still not a healthy way of life regardless of who many people get fat.

It’s obvious she doesn’t care what people think. After all, maybe hubby bought her that bikini! Or maybe she just lost 10 lbs and she is feeling really good about how she looks…. or maybe it’s her favorite bathing suit. Who are we to criticize unless we look like Heidi Klum in a bikini, which I very much doubt any of us do.

Obesity is defined as having a BMI of >30. In this woman’s case, if she’s >200lbs and 5′8″ or less, then she is obese. There is no defense for being obese and it’s not “normal” or a “real woman’s body”.
It is unhealthy if she doesn’t realize her obesity is a problem. If this is an “average” American woman, then that is a sad, sad statement.

keely was once a stunner…i’m dating myself, but does anyone remember the 80s Huey Lewis and the News video…happy to be stuck with you? keely was the gorgeous lady in that video…and, i think she more recently co-hosted america’s most wanted…anyhow, the weight has creeped up on her over the years and now, well…it’s not pretty…but, i think that many women don’t see it until they’re ready…denial is a strange, powerful frame of mind…i bet these pics will hit home for her…she’ll be on a diet soon…

Since when a strong and healthy marriage is based on how skinny the couple is…. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder people, you do not know what that woman brings in his life.
I’m guilty of working hard to stay slim too but I still don’t think it makes me more deserving of Pierce Brosman than her. While they’ve been married many years now, take a look at all those other celebrities that do not last longer than a season in their “marriages.”
I wish we would stop being soooooooooooooooooooo judgemental and cut up on looks.

^You may have a point but I’m going to differ with you on two points (1) I bet you any amount of money that her doctor is telling her to lose a few pounds because there’s NO WAY that is healthy and (2) if she insists on compromising her health by being overweight she can at least find a bathing suit that is flatter - there’s NO EXCUSE for forcing that tiny piece of fabric to be stretched across all of that skin. Gut rolls aren’t sexy.

I’ve always thought they seemed like a solid couple… she got heavier with pregnancies, but it never seemed to change the way he looks at her. Who knows, maybe he doesn’t care…? It is unhealthy though, that should be her first concern. Sidebar: I know someone who met him/spent some time with him, and let’s just say that he’s a little ‘light’ in the brains department. My friend was kind of shocked. Just goes to show you that what’s on the screen ain’t necessarily what you might think.

I love how so many homosexual men are so fucking critical of straight women and their bodies — as if you actually have any understanding of a woman’s physique and her struggles with self-image. As if you actually KNOW what straight dudes like. For all you know, Pierce could get a megaboner each time he looks at his wife. What is up with all these idiots who think just because being obese is unhealthy that means you shouldn’t be okay with being obese. Smoking, drinking, tanning, using drugs, etc are all bad for us yet people do those type of things on a regular basis without some bone head on an internet site pretending like they are some sort of life-expert while making some obnoxious comment. Yeah, being obese is unhealthy, and? What’s more unhealthy than being obese is, hating yourself everyday for the way you look.

I think the comments about fat jiggling and all that crap are just mean-spirited and over the top, but maybe that is because as an overweight woman I never felt the need to castigate people who were thinner then me. It’s just a p*ss poor thing to do no matter the side it comes from. As for the relevant comments, no matter if her husband loves her no matter what, how she is now is not healthy and it WILL take its toll the more years that pass. people are generally overweight because they overeat and more importantly are not active–and that lack of activity is NOT healthy. I’m on my way down now and I had to tell myself that just because I seek to improve myself it doesn’t mean I’m trying to change the person I am at my core. I want to be fit and live a long healthy life. If I look good at the end of it, great. BTW, as a middle class female who counts on her husband to help out, this lady has no excuse. She could hire babysitters with no problem and work out(probably at home with a trainer where she’s in earshot of the kids) but I’ve heard she’s one of those attachment parenting kooks who nurse until their children are in kindergarten so she probably won’t relinquish any control over them to anyone else and improve herself and nursing that long is hell on the body. Many of the women into that are indeed overweight and pat each other on the back that ‘your ok, I’m ok’. Sure YOU are ok, but is fat really YOU or is who you are more then about allowing yourself to keep up permissive, self-destructive behaviors? I suspect that’s the trap she’s fell into. It’s a shame…I wish I’d seen I was falling into it 10 years ago.
