Keira Knightley goes pop in the Winter 2007/2008 issue of Strut magazine.
In the special issue, the British beauty gets candid about life, love and her booming career.
Keira on her mission to prove that she’s more than just a pretty face: “I had been doing Pirates of the Caribbean for about two years, and as much as that was extraordinary and amazing, I wanted to do something completely different. I think that’s why I chose to do [these two two films.] I did Silk first and then I had five days off and went straight onto Atonement. I wanted to play these characters. I wanted something totally different from the Pirate experience.”
Keira on nude scenes: “Some actors are absolutely not comfortable with taking their clothes off and nudity, and that’s completely fine, but I am. I’ve always been fine with it. No one is completely comfortable with her body, everyone has insecurities, but it’s not about that. It’s about, for me, my body, my face, my head, my mind — everything; that’s the tool that I have to work with. I’ve never had a problem using it. Anything I felt uncomfortable with I’ve always said no to. So I only do nudity if I’m completely comfortable with the surroundings and I’ve talked to the director and he’s explained to me exactly what he wants in the shot and I’m fine with it.”

Very cool photo shoot, but I’m still not a fan of hers. I hate it when actresses try to justify their nude scenes as well…they are still naked, still doing the same scenes as pornos just minus the big blonde hair and bad fake tans. If they are fine with doing it that’s cool, but when they claim its all about the art that pisses me off. Nicole Kidman’s done that before and honestly Eyes Wide Shut was pretty much porn…with less attractive people in it.

If Eyes Wide Shut was porn, it was pretty damn crappy porn, at that. What a piece of shlock that movie was. No wonder Kubrick kicked the bucket after filming–he was embarrassed to death over that P.O.S.
Oh, and Keira? So a ton of makeup and special lighting and a world-class photographer made her look like Twiggy. Big fucking deal. A steaming pile of dog shit could be made to look like Twiggy with the right makeup, lighting, and photography.

She or the make-up artist was going for Edie Sedgwick (check out the warhol reference on the cover) not Twiggy — don’t think it quite worked.

wow, people here are a lot more positive than the other websites. But as usual, she IS STUNNING. She has lost too much weight but besides that, look at her face…she’s absolutely gorgeous. Also, another website claimed that they were gong for Audrey Hepburn and not Twiggy. Either way, gorgeous girl, and gorgeous photograph.
