Hanging their heads in shame, mom-and-daughter duo Lynne and Jamie Lynn Spears creep out of a parenting class in Kentwood, LA on Sunday afternoon following a 1-hour session.
Better to get it done before it’s court-appointed, right?
In addition to her growing baby bump tucked away underneath her oversized hoodie, sixteen-year-old Jamie Lynn was proudly toting a GED preparation book.
If you listen carefully, you can actually hear producers for the Maury Povich Show dialing the phone.

Why doesn’t she have her HS diploma yet? Usually, child stars who are in production on tv shows are schooled on the set in a small environment. Because they get individual attention from a tutor/teacher (as opposed to a classroom environment) they usually finish schooling one-two years quicker than kids who go to a normal school setting. Oh well, at least she’s taking parenting classes. I wonder if Britney did the same — not. She’s already a better parent than her sister.

You know…I don’t see why people are picking on her so much. Yes she made a mistake, one that she has decided to take responsibility for. I think its great that she’s taking parenting classes. At least she’s not running around partying and drinking while she’s pregnant. I really applaud Jamie Lynn’s maturity in this sensitive situation.
And calling Lynne a bad mother just because her adult daughter is out of line and her younger daughter had sex and accidentally got pregnant, is a bit ridiculous. Things happen, not always because of their upbringing.
If you ALLOW your 16 year old daughter to LIVE with a 18/19 year old boyfriend, that is considered a good way to bring up your kids? Jesus Stephi, your defense of Lynne is full of holes.

The creepiest thing about that picture is that Lynne has dressed exactly like her 16-year-old daughter, nearly down to the hairstyle.

Hmmm. I hope Lynn is sitting in on those alleged parenting classes. Although I guess it’s a bit late for her to get some parenting savvy.
I think it’s all pretty damn sad. Jamie Lynn has ruined her life, and her kid has no hope in hell of having a normal life and becoming a productive member of society. Exactly WHY should anyone laud her for this spectacular act of stupidity?
I totally agree with psl, that defense of Lynn is shabby and and ridiculous. some things you should have a maternal instinct for like parenting and most get it it from their mom, but i guess not this money grubbing mom. And she should definetly be off that show.
I think it’s pretty damn sad that we are all so obsessed with celebrities. It’s funny how most of you here act like you know them personally and the facts of their lives. I think the judgement and name calling here is ridiculous. Nice to know their are so many experts in this world on other peoples issues. Could it be that judging others is a way to make one feel better about their own sorry situation.
