In a just released statement, Dr. Phil says he will not be doing a Britney Spears show after all. Here’s what the opportunistic sleazebag had to say:
“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show tomorrow, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case.
Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours.”
Wow, how compassionate of Dr. Phil to think of Brit and her family at this time — yeah, right. Dr. Phil is a therapist like the paparazzi are photojournalists!

douche bag! The only reason he’s not doing it is because they all pulled out of it. Her father actually has a brain, and seems to care about her wellbeing, not her money or fame.
probably cause her dad wouldn’t do it. Her mom is probably the one who brokered the whole deal. ‘Go down to see Brit in the hospital and I’ll go on your show.’ I would like to hope she was different but I don’t see her fighting in courts to get her daughter declared temporarily mental and stick her in a hospital. Of course Britney isn’t going to do it herself because she’s mental.

Doctor Peeewwwww is a joke. If he truly knows what he’s doing he should have lost all that extra fat he’s been carrying than to counsel others on what to do. When is this idiot going to go away? And it’s stupid to have his wife walk on and off with him on his show. Just make me want to puke.
I hated this guy before hand; never watched his show and wouldnt if it was the only thing on TV. But now I have just lost all respect for him completely.

Wow the hostility on this blog. I watch Dr. Phil all the time, and yes, he has become a ratings monger (I do not watch the Dr.Phil House crap) but he really does know what he’s talking about. He’s a smart guy, who in my opinion should tone the show down a notch before he loses even the die-hards like me. As for the Brit thing, I’m glad he isn’t doing the show, but I’ll be the first to admit I would have watched episode, along with probably everyone who reads this blog.
