An anxious Jake Gyllenhaal lunches with a chesty brunette gal pal at Joan’s on Third cafe in West Hollywood on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old actor’s main squeeze, Walk the Line star Reese Witherspoon, was nowhere to be seen. Uh-oh!!!
“Jake waited on his friend hand and foot,” an eyewitness says. “He got up from the table to get her something the waiter had forgot. He was a real gentleman.”
After their meal, Jake’s unnamed female friend retrieved his black Mercedes sedan from the back parking lot and pulled up in front to pick him up.
Hmm…we wonder if Reese knows where Jake was!

Play on Player, Play on!!! I love it! Reese is overated, ugly, and has a lot of baggage. You don’t need that in your life.
Just because she has 2 kids and an ex-husband doesn’t mean “a lot of baggage”…. she is mature enough to handle her life just fine. She’s no screw up like Brit….. if you want baggage, Brit has baggage. This gal could very easily be an old friend or cousin… who-ever.
The last thing a young strapping lad like Jake needs is some messed up baby mama with relationship issues. He should really seek out someone younger and without kids. He doesn’t need that kind of responsibility.
I hate these shit stirring sort of stories. What is wrong with him just going out with a female friend for lunch? If he was snuggling up to her, holding her hand or kissing her then Reese would have something to worry about but he’s not. I’m sure Reese couldn’t care less about him having lunch with a friend, probably has more trust in her partner than that.

Wow! I saw pictures of this woman in NYC…when Jake was there with Reese…and in Italy…when Jake was there with Reese…and in Toronto, when Jake was there with Reese… I’ve also seen her working the red carpet at Cannes and at the BAFTA awards in London….Wow! She works for Jake you fools!!!!
She has worked for Jake for several years. Reese is probably back in San Francisco working on her movie with Vince Vaughan and Jake is having a New Year’s brunch with a staffer before heading back to New Mexico to work with Toby Maguire and Natalie Protman on HIS movie. Sorry. No story here. One of the advantages of being a Jake fan, which I am, is that we know stuff like that. We can’t expect the general public to know, but it sure would be nice if the gossip- bloggers would do some “homework” before making stuff up. And the paparrazzi really need to go back to trailing Britney. Jake is boring compared to her. LOL!
