Reformed lothario Nick Cannon and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks who, have been dating each other since they met at a Super Bowl weekend party in Miami, were engaged last night when Nick got down on one knee in Times Square and presented Selita with a 12-carat diamond ring while the words “Selita, will you marry me?” were projected on the MTV Jumbotron.
The all-star engagement was meticulously planned.
Nick  and Selita attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art costume gala last night. They left in a chauffeured Rolls Royce and drove to Times Square where the MTV star popped the question. Needless to say, the Victoria’s Secret beauty said yes.
The couple celebrated the engagement at New York nightclub Butter where Nick surprised his lady love with the presence of her parents and best friends, whom he had secretly flown in earlier.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a Hollywood engagement.
I give it a month.

Am I cynical to think that this will never last a year.
Gimme a fucking break already. And he might want to know that the ring goes on the left hand. Dumb ass.
I wish them the best.
I hate to say it 2cents… but I am quite cynical myself when it comes to hollywood engagements/marriages. I hope it works out.. but I won’t hold my breath.
by the way hotbitch… ever think he may be nervous… my father dropped the ring twice and put it on the wrong fingure before he got it right, simply was super nervous!
^That’s so cute! I hope these two are truly happy and accepting of each other, and know that this is for the long run- but I can’t help but be cynical too… so many celebs don’t take it seriously enough… they tend to get hitched while they’re still in the passionate infatuation stage- which is way too early to figure out if that’s really the person for you.
only1…he should be nervous. They just met in February.
That’s a gorgeous ring.
yeah—- VERY nice ring- but why so soon- they only met like 3 months ago, and with their schedule I doubt they spent that much time together in that 3 months
God they’ve only been engaged a day and people are already saying they won’t last. Have a little faith!! He never really struck me as the romantic type but i guess I was wrong…this is really sweet!! All the best to them!
i hope it does last, he always seemed like a sweet guy for some reason, and she is just gorgeous, lucky man!
