Oh dear she looks a bit of a mess to me! She always looks like she’s rifled through a bag of her moms old dress ups and just thrown something together. I can almost smell the musty smell coming from this photo! I’m sure someone else would pull off this dress perfectly but she makes everything look slightly daggy in my opinion. |

No I think she looks good. Do remember it is the Costume Institute Gala; the outfits are meant to be unique and I daresay if the dress alone was worn by Charlize Theron et al there noone would comment so ferociously. |

I kinda like it. Very roaring ’20s. Of course she looks like Dunst but we forgive her for that. |

“Do remember it is the Costume Institute Gala; the outfits are meant to be unique ” Selon, we don’t need to be reminded of the obviouse - gee, it’s a COSTUME GALA, of course the dresses are meant to be over the top. But this bitch is over-the-top and BUTT-ASS UGLY. Since when does over-the-top mean that you have to be stupid-looking as well? Perhaps it’s YOU who should re-evaluate your understanding of a Costume Gala. I see at least a half-dozen of these a year living and New York and, rest-assured, the point is to be over-the-top and beautiful and elegant. |

Too much fabric for such a small girl but she is making it work for her to a degree. |

She is like a higher-end Britney. She usually gets it wrong. |

The head piece looks a bit sloppy…but she looks never looks put together anymore. And those cowboy boots on the outside of his pants…yuck! |

She just doesn’t have enough presence to wear a gown like this. Which, by the way, is nothing exceptional–couture or not. Yves St. Laurent was obviously not in a good mood the day he designed this rag. The flapper-era headband is ridiculous. First off, La Dunst looks foolish in it. Second, the dress does not evoke the Roaring Twenties in the least, and so it’s a completely inappropriate accessory. |

Oh, and he’s got them boots on every picture I see of them! The 2 1/2 yr old wants to wear her bumble bee rain boots everyday and everywhere and I let her, even with a dress, but again, she’s 2 1/2. That’s a grown ass man and it’s not cute. |

supernova - chill. I was just saying it’s all a matter of dress up. If you think Kirsten Dunst is “BUTT-ASS UGLY” then great but I think the dress in itself is nice enough. Kirsten does go too far on occasion but she is at least trying to experiment. Remember SJP in that tartan creation made by Alexander McQueen last year?: twas hardly the stuff that red carpets are made of but was exciting at the very least. Even if it looks shit I’m grateful for something different; if I have to look at another Vera Wang dress I’m going to scream! |

I kinda like the dress…it is a stunning color, I just don’t like who is wearing it. And the head thing? What is with that? |

the dude looks cross-eyed. they’re such an odd-couple, but a good match *snigger* i like what the outfit is attempting to do, but it’s not working for her at all |
