PETA STRIKES AGAIN

PETA has been working on overdrive in recent months. First a new ad featuring a nude Eva Mendes. Then came the Trollsens. Now this?

Rocking little more than some M&M-coloured body paint and holding a banner that reads, M&M’s: Colors of Cruelty, PETA protested outside the M&M’s World store on Broadway Street in New York City today.

Other PETA militants handed out leaflets explaining how candy-giant Mars funds painful and deadly tests on mice, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits.

The tests, PETA says, are done to determine the effects of chocolate ingredients on blood vessels.

Now tells us: Will you be more or less likely to buy Mars bars this holiday season after PETA’s allegations? (Btw, Hershey’s, Mars’ top competitor, has pledged not to fund or conduct experiments on animals.)

    Screw PETA!!! I’d rather have a few less rats & mice and possibily finding a cure to many diseaes that plague us.

    PETA loves to blow things out of proportion. I think they hear what they want to hear and not consider the other facts.

    Bruce its fucking cruel shit …mars isn’t saving lives by there fucking animal testing …they sell products that make kids fat disgusting rotten mouth kids ….i wont be buying mars products any more .fuck them! anyone that can actually watch that video without getting upset or pissed off has serious issues.

    I can accept that there is animal testing to cure diseases, but for chocolate, come on! It’s already bad for us.

    rats and mice are rodents and should be lab animals….just speak to the millions of children dying of cancer, diabetes, MS……FUCK PETA!!!!

    Peta should volunteer to be tested for the chocolate thing instead of the rats and mice….so how far that love goes then…

    I like MARS bars….they are deeeeeeeeeeLICIOUS

    Reading some of these posts make me feel sad how cruel and evil people can be. Why would someone want to support a company that tests on animals????
    Animals can feel pain and have emotions just like we do! For diseases is one thing, but for candy???
    If it was the perfect world we would be testing on people like toonkinstein, bruce, david and ha. I’m sure they are waste of space anyway, they sure sound like it.

    I never knew about this. This has definately effected my decision on what chocolate I will buy. Seriously if a company has the option to NOT test on animals…why wouldn’t they do it? It’s just stupid if its not necessary.
    I totally agree with you mindy. Some people just have no heart at all and are to selfish and ignorant to sacrifice something that they want and like in order to do the right thing. Maybe one day they will wake up to themselves.

    so many people complain about the employment of “nude” female volunteers by PETA. i see that some people want to be touchy in the depictions of women in the media, but… these are humans volunteering their time to draw attention to animals needlessly dying (for a chocolate company). i really doubt that media would show up if the pitch PETA sent them were phrased “PETA sits down quietly and writes a strongly worded letter to MARS asking them to stop killing animals.” call me crazy, but I doubt that would bring out the herd of photographers that semi-nude women can draw. PETA is only catering to our sex-crazed attention-deficit population — and doing a good job of it, apparently.

    Are you fucking serious? Anyone who puts any effort into this crap is nuts! Make sure you buy peanut M&Ms! It is shocking to see how ignorant some of you bloggers are! Wear fur and keep warm. Eat chocolate that has been tested on animals on not on people. Get a real life.

    I personally wrote to the media person at Mars to get a response……I got none. That has to tell you something! Besides, there’s always Hershey, who states that they DO NOT do animal testing. Show some compassion. These are proven unnecessary tests being done and inhumanely. Mice and rats have feelings just like any other living thing.

    Heather….Ignorance is not knowing you have a choice to do the right thing! Ignorance is not knowing you don’t need fur to keep warm and animal cruelty to keep you fed and healthy. Ignorance is not knowing that the effects of chocolate does not need to be tested on animals or people for that matter, as you have so stated!

    I love you PETA! All sorts of animal testing is cruel! M&M’s must be using non-animal research… STOP this cruelty on innocent animals… PETA works hard to make this world a better place to live for all beings!

    i was just at school today and we had to make brownies in home economics and i wanted m&ms
    in them but my partner was totally against it and showed me the site FROM PETA…i say its all
    a hullabaloo…I WILL Still Eat M&Ms…and i agree…what does animals have to do with chocolate?
