This is the website that has sparked fears that Britney Spears’ 16-year-old sister could be a single mum.
It claims to be the MySpace page of Casey Aldridge, who has been dating Jamie Lynn Spears and is the father of her baby. And it has cast doubt over whether the teenage couple are still together as it carries the message: “ME AND JAMIE ARE OVER….. :(”
It was not clear yesterday whether the page is genuine or just a cruel hoax. But actress Jamie has added to the confusion with her comments in an interview which appeared on the internet on Monday, a day before her dramatic pregnancy announcement.
She told the Associated Press she has no serious boyfriend, saying: “I kind of keep my options open. I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends.”
But in the OK! magazine interview revealing her pregnancy, Jamie Lynn says she has been with Casey for two-and-a-half years. She said: “It’s a good relationship to have, knowing there is someone there for you.”
The starlet said the pair have no plans to marry and would be focusing on the baby.

They are both just teenagers, they probably change their mind about their relationship every day. This may not even be the real myspace page anyway and people can hack into other people’s accounts and cause havoc. JL probably made that comment so she could avoid any attention on her relationship with Casey and even if they did end things for a little while there, they both seem to be comitted to the baby and have reunited, if they were ever actually apart in the first place. All these comment about her being a whore and stuff are ridiculous though. YES we know what happened to her was unfortunate but just let them be, they obviously have it under control so just leave it at that. I’m sure its hard enough for her to be going through this, let alone be bashed and judged by people who don’t even know her or the situation well enough to do so.

not that i by any means condone teenage motherhood, i think in all too many cases it can fuck up both the mother, the kid and anyone else involved, but for most teenagers some combination of the pill and condoms helps them avoid that. if i’m not mistaken, the average age for women to lose their virginity in the US is around sixteen… if anyone else feels like it they can look up the actual statistic, but i think it’s sixteen-ish.
